Conferences and Events

The National Association of Fellowships Advisors participates in a variety of conferences and other events throughout the year.

Our most recent annual conference was held July 16-18, 2009 in Seattle. Information about next the 2011 conference in Chicago is forthcoming.

NAFA is offering a study tour of Germany in January 6-14, 2011:

The NAFA 2011 Study Tour to Germany, which is underwritten by both the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Fulbright Commission, will provide participants with an authentic experience of the German educational system as well as information on funding and other study and internship opportunities. Scholarship advisors will have the chance to talk with faculty and administrators during site visits to institutions with which their students could be affiliated.

  2. High Tech/ Low Tech: Strategies for Identifying, Recruiting and Keeping Track of Fellowship Applicants: July 22-23, 2010, DePauw University (Greencastle, IN), Organizer: Marnie McInnes.
  3. Words of Wisdom: A Writing Workshop for Fellowship Advisors: July 29-30, Ursinus College (Collegeville, PA), Organizer: Greg Weight.
